I really enjoyed the unit which is by far the nicest unit I've stayed in during my 14 visits to Molokai. Flooring, furniture, and decoration upgrades are very obvious and appreciated. The snorkeling gear and icebox are also nice extra touches though I didn't use them this time. Your wiring looks more up to code than other units I've stayed in. Excellent color choice of flooring for those red Hawaii soils. Décor was tasteful and I loved all the maps on display (I'm a Map and GPS junkie). The tourbooks, etc. were also nice and handy. I'll try you first when I make future visits to Hawaii, especially when I bring family along. One item that really stood out and made an impression on me was the nice, soft and plush towels. The mattress was also comfortable. After visiting the grocery store and returning to the unit, I decided I should have visited unit first because I could have saved some money with some items already provided. Thanks so much for letting me stay there and enjoy the peacefulness of Molokai.
Ken & Shannon Cole - Christmas Week 2007
Karen & David ...
Wanted to get you off a quick e-mail to let you know how much we enjoyed staying in your condo during the past week. It was really very lovely and very "homey." Neighbors and Shores staff were helpful and friendly . . . we didn't think it would be any other way. It was beautiful all of our days --- even the two days it rained. I called about possible church services on Christmas Eve....I would truly recommend it to anyone who enjoys island music and island dancing with a Christmas twist.
It really was a very special week for us …."no worries" Moloka'i, Hawaii -- calmed us to start 2008 with a new outlook. We are already "thinking" about next year and staying through New Year's Day. My gosh . . . to be able to do FIREWORKS yourself for 4 hours just seemed unbelievable to Ken.
I left behind 2 books - - - one titled "A concise History of the Hawaiian Islands" . . . written by a professor from UH - Hilo. Very informative . . . PLUS it really was well written and very up to date regarding economy and politics on the islands.
Thank you for generously sharing your home away from home.

P.S. Vickie left us a plate of "homemade" treats ... she was very helpful and very
gracious to us. (Note from Karen and David: Vickie cleans our unit between guest visits.)

Question 2. Would you recommend renting our unit to family or friends? - "YES"
The Storeys - January 2008
Here are the answers to a few questions we asked the Storeys about their stay at Molokai 207.
1. What was your first impression of the unit?
"Great location with the beach, pool, etc. Well kept condo with great view and comfortable."
2. Do you think the condo was correctly advertised and priced?
"Yes on both. You never know what you're going to get when you book online privately and this turned out to be a pleasent suprise."
3. If asked, would you recommend renting our unit to family or friends?
"Absolutly - the island is great and the condo is just as good. We will be returning and would recommend to anyone who wants the peaceful hawai'i."

Molokai was great. It exceeded all of my expectations and I thoroughly enjoyed your place. You folks have one of the best kept condos. I had a few friends over. They stayed in another room at Molokai Shores and yours was the prettiest. Thank you so much!

This is a comment from an upcoming guest. It provides some interesting history regarding the site currently occupied by Molokai Shores Condos and island life for a teenager in the '50s and '60. We appreciated receiving this short glimpse into Molokai's past. "I grew up there (in Molokai) and left in 1976 after graduation from UH. The location of Molokai Shores used to be a patch of keawe trees and mangrove at the seaside. There used to be an old diner on the site close to the hwy. I remember that it had juke box music selectors in the dining booths. The diner was operational in the '50's as best I can recall. I was part of the crew that looked for surfing sites in the late 60's. The pier break (west of the wharf - need to paddle across the barge's path) was great after kona storms. Black Rock was pretty good with the winter swell. Summer time was spent working in the pineapple fields when the Kualapuu plantation was at its peak.
